One of the big buzzes across the Net right now is audio placed on web sites and in eBay auctions. Before now, you had to be a computer genius to include audio on your web site. But, now, there are companies who are making this task easy enough for the rest of us “non-technical” people.

While using audio is one of the fastest growing technologies online, and very easy to do, not everyone is implementing this feature into their site. You will stand out in the crowd by adding this one simple thing! And, your profits will reflect this!

Think about it, years ago there was no sound for those watching TV. Many top-level television network executives believed that no one would ever want to actually hear an actor’s voice. They assumed people would be happy with ONLY watching the film. Today, you would go crazy if TV showed only acting and words on the screen (I know I would). Think about how popular the first TV network to introduce sound to their shows was. They stole the market!

There are many ways you can use audio in your auctions. I am going to review two methods I feel will help you to increase your eBay profits.

Greeting Your Customers
Selling Your Product
Greeting Your Customers

I am fond of the idea of adding audio to eBay actions because I think one of the things people miss most about doing business online is the one-on-one interaction of traditional business.

Adding a greeting to your auctions is something you can do as a default (meaning in every item you list) and could be something simple, such as a welcome message. You could also include any type of guarantee you may have on your product, and always remember to welcome visitors back to your site.

Imagine what an awesome way this is to get your viewers and buyers to remember you. This will help you to increase your overall business not only by impressing your viewer into buying, but also by ensuring that your buyers will return for more!

Selling Your Product

This method of using audio is a little more involved. Adding audio in your auction to actually “sell” your product will have to be done on an item-by-item basis, because each listing is different.

However, think of all the time this will save you in trying to figure out the best words to describe your product. And what better description can you offer than one coming straight from your mouth?

Think of it this way…

Have you ever been really tired but still working at the computer? I know I have.

Have you ever gone to an auction listing, or web site, and the text was just too long to read (because of how tired you were) so you moved on? I know I have.

By adding the audio to your auction, you can eliminate losing this type of customer for those items that just require a lot of explaining. You don’t want to leave out any details, because you want to sell the item for top dollar. However, you also don’t want to lose a buyer because your listing is just too long.

Now you can include all of the benefits of your product without spending an hour typing it all out, and you don’t have to worry about losing those who don’t want to deal with reading the long description. It only takes a couple of minutes to record a message and the value of your own words is going to be a benefit all on its own.

Adding audio will not make or break your eBay business, but it will make your visitors happier to do business with you. Audio will likely increase your repeat customers because they’ll know you get your point across and don’t waste a lot of their time.

Times are changing and staying on the cutting edge will keep your business profitable and running smoothly. Remember, until now, the web has been silent; if you wanted information, you had to read it. You had to shuffle through thousands of words and literally hours upon hours of reading just to collect the information in which you were interested. But those times are soon going to be a distant memory.

Below I have listed a couple recourses that will help you get started adding audio to your auctions. These aren’t affiliate links; they are just links to quality sites I found that feature the cheapest and most reliable companies offering audio.
